What are the benefits of baobab?
There are many benefits of baobab, it is a superfood like none other than I have researched. My research is a bottomless pit. Just when I think I have read all there is to know about baobab, I find out that there is something I didn't know. Some of the top benefits include
- Helps to balance blood sugar levels.
- Filled with many minerals and vitamins.
- Promotes feelings of fullness which can help weight loss.
- Has both vitamin C and Iron. Both are needed to absorb the other.
- More antioxidants than any other superfood in the world.
- High fiber content may help digestion.
Is Baobab a Superfood?
Baobab continues to prove to be one of the most impressive superfoods on the planet. It has 5x the amount of fiber as oatmeal! That is impressive stuff. But not only that it, but also has more iron the spinach. It is the king of superfoods with more antioxidants than any other plant in the world. It is a long-lasting superfood, which means that it is slow to progress in your system. This is good because it gives you long-lasting benefits.
What are the side effects of baobab?
Because baobab is so high in so many nutrients, it can be an adjustment for your digestive system. I recommend starting with only a couple of teaspoons of baobab to see how your system reacts and then slowly increasing it as time goes on. This baobab chia pudding can be a good recipe to start with since per serving (only start with ¼ of the recipe for a serving) it has a smaller amount of baobab. An even small amount of baobab would be my popular baobab blast 'jello' squares. You can find more recipes like this in my FREE Healing Harvest Cookbook that can be yours today!
Does Baobab Boost Immune System?
Yes! Baobab completely boosts your immune system. It has high levels of both iron and vitamin C. This is important because it takes both for you to absorb the other. Your body needs iron to absorb vitamin c, and your body needs vitamin c to absorb iron. I've said it before and I'll say it again, God has made some amazing plants for our wellness and health!
Baobab also has high levels of magnesium and potassium, which can be important when you are battling an illness or trying to boost your immune system.

What is Baobab Juice?
There are many distinct types of baobab juice or baobab drinks. The following baobab drink is a bit heavier because it uses Kefir which adds a bit of ferment to the drink. Other types of baobab drinks include Trim Healthy Mama's Baobab Boost drink, which is an amazingly simple baobab drink recipe. It is the recipe I used when I started using baobab for my everyday health.
A Smooth Kefir Baobab Drink
The rich pink tones come from a combination of the baobab and the beet crystals. Beet crystals are completely optional in this recipe, they do have some health benefits, but they primarily serve to add a bit of color to this drink. The reason behind this baobab drink being called 'smooth' is because kefir is usually a thicker drink. When you combine it with almond milk and water, you get a very creamy and deliciously smooth, and velvety drink that boosts the immune system and tantalizes the taste buds!
