Have you ever checked the ingredient list on the back of store-bought coffee creamers before? Oh. My. Goodness. Sometimes I cannot believe that I subjected my body to that many ingredients at one time! It is insane the extensive list of ingredients on most creamers, let alone the sugar content. Sometimes one serving of coffee creamer is above the recommended sugar intake for one day!
Truth be told, I love buying NutPods coffee creamer, but even that isn't ideal because of the price tag! Now don't get me wrong, the creamer is worth the price tag, but my grocery budget doesn't like it!
Ingredients
The basic ingredients for this recipe are as follows:
- Unsweetened almond milk
- MCT Oil
- Extracts
- Pure stevia
- Collagen
You certainly can play around with these amounts, but this is what I have found makes my coffee sweet, creamy, and delicious. If you find that a whole teaspoon of pure stevia is too sweet for you, cut it in half or even just ¼ tsp.
Instructions
In a large container add the unsweetened almond milk. Add MCT oil and extracts (see post for ideas). Mix well.
Add stevia and collagen. Using a coffee frother or immersion blender, mix until fully combined.
Stays fresh in the refrigerator.
Hint: If you store in a mason jar then you can use the immersion blender right in the jar! Make sure you use a wide-mouth mason jar!
Coffee Cream Flavors
I'm getting excited just typing this! Playing around with different coffee cream flavors has become one of my new favorite obsessions! There are just so many possibilities and combinations! As I try more combinations, I will certainly add more to this list!

Cookies and Cream | Start with 1 tbsp |
Raspberry Chocolate | 2 tablespoon chocolate and 3 teaspoon raspberry |
Pecan and Butter | Start with 2 teaspoon of each |
Pumpkin Pie | Start with 1 tablespoon |
Cinnamon Spice | Start with 2 tsp |
Basic THM Coffee Creamer Recipe
I know that this recipe seems like it makes a LOT. But that's part of the point! If you are drinking coffee every single morning, it makes more sense to make more than less! Maybe I should call this recipe the "Obsessed with coffee" recipe!
Most recipes that I've made end with about three cups of liquid. That doesn't last awfully long if you are a bit coffee-obsessed like me! However, if you are looking for a smaller recipe amount, head over to TJ's taste. She has one of the best resources for homemade coffee creamer.
I personally have been buying boxed milk for this recipe because it keeps long. It is also cheaper than buying from the freezer section.
Equipment
I know which question I'm going to get asked the most about this recipe! Where did you get your jug? Well, truthfully I don't remember. Here is an almost exact replicate from Amazon though.
Other Equipment
- Immersion blender or frother
- Storage container or mason jar
You can find my full list of kitchen essentials at my Like to Know store or Amazon storefront.
This recipe would taste great with herbal coffee recipes too. One of my favorite non-coffee recipes is for Chicory Root coffee.
