Ingredients
- Cold brew coffee
- It is certainly preferable in this recipe that you use a pre-made cold brew. You can alternatively use regular coffee that is chilled, however, it will not taste as strong. My basic cold-brew coffee can be found here.
- Pure stevia
- Pure stevia is hard to work with in baked goods, but it works excellently in drinks!
- MCT Oil
- Caramel Extract
- Sadly, extracts are filled with nasty ingredients. THM has excellent extracts that are clean and truly delicious.
- Unsweetened Almond Milk (or Nutpods)
- Mineral Salt
- There is nothing like Redmond's real salt! One of the best parts is that it is made in the United States. It is unrefined and not polluted in the same way that most sea salt is.
See the recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Place one cup of cold brew coffee in a glass and add 1 donk or 1/32 teaspoon of pure stevia. Mix well.
Add ¼ teaspoon of MCT oil and mix well.
Add ¼ teaspoon of caramel extract and mix well.
Add a pinch of salt and mix well.
Top off with unsweetened almond milk or your favorite creamer.
Add ice and give a final stir.
Hint: If you don't like stirring after each ingredient is added, add all ingredients at once except the ice, and then use an immersion blender to combine well.
Variations
We all get bored with a recipe at one point or another. You can vary this recipe by adding different extracts! Here are a few to try.
- Vanilla- I love using my homemade vanilla with salted caramel. Delicious!
- Maple Burst - Make it into a Maple coffee by adding ¼ tsp Maple extract.
- Banana - I know that this sounds weird, but trust me! Banana iced coffee is delicious. Start with ⅛ teaspoon and add more if you find that you like it!
